The WindPath SailSoft® Application
One of the biggest challenges we faced when creating the WindPath program was to develop a way for you and 7 other Members to fairly share the use of one yacht in both seasonal and year round locations. Over the years we have learned a lot, and those lessons are reflected in the current release of our SailSoft® application. In the existing software and all future upgrades we keep several principals in mind:

• Maximize the useable time of the yacht for each member
• Create fair and equitable sharing for a maximum of 8 Members per boat
• Guarantee each member 7 uses per month
• Allow spontaneous use at no extra charge if the yacht is available
• Allow trip durations ranging from a half day to a full week
• An understanding that weekends and holidays are more desirable times

After months of initial research and years of ongoing development we have compiled an effective and fair rule set to govern how the software functions and devised a means to put it to practical use. What you end up with is the most advanced, user friendly, decision oriented scheduling software developed to date.

SailSoft® is an Internet based real time application with one major function: to get you out on the water boating when you want to be there. SailSoft® can make any of the following scenarios, and much more, your reality.

A Saturday with friends
It's a hot Monday afternoon in July, the weather on Saturday is supposed to be fantastic! You decide you want to go out boating with a few friends and relax. You simply log into SailSoft®, and reserve the available Saturday time slot. On Friday, before you leave work, you log in and confirm your time slot. That's it, have a great day on the water with your friends enjoying all that boating has to offer on a brand new luxury yacht, we handle the rest.

A spontaneous Thursday Evening with co-workers
It is half past four Thursday evening, work has thrown you a particularly hard week with clients in from out of town, and the deal has just been closed. You look outside and see that it is a beautiful evening with a promising sunset approaching; you log in to SailSoft® and see that Thursday evening is available, you reserve it. Because it is within 24 hours of the time slot start this trip won't even count against your 7 guaranteed slots for the month. You, your boss, and the clients go for a relaxing sunset ride; the smooth motion of the boat pushed gracefully along the water melts away the stress of a difficult week. You spend the evening on the water discussing and celebrating your success in closing the deal.

A week long family boating vacation
It's a Friday evening in August and you feel as if you have spent the whole summer working hard and have not had any quality time to spend with your family. You rejoice in the fact that your bags are packed, and everything is ready to go. You log into SailSoft® one last time to check the weather and other announcements posted by WindPath staff. You drive straight from work to the marina and meet your family there. Thirty minutes later everything is stowed below and your family is cruising off into the sunset for seven days of relaxation, fun, exploration and adventure. Upon your return you reflect on the past week and you realize that you have just enjoyed one of the most memorable and fantastic experiences of your life with the people that mean the most to you.

Highlighted Scheduler features:

• View and Reserve time slots for the full season, or up to a year in advance for year-round locations
• View both your past and future reservations, as well as those reservations of other members sharing the boat
• Reserving a time slot within 24 hours of its start does not count against your 7 guaranteed uses for the month, and there is no additional charge
• Take unused time from a previous month, and borrow time from the next month to book up to 7 full days of continuous use
• View real time NOAA weather updates for you planned route
• Integrated online invoicing and payment system removes any billing headaches
• Communicate with the other Members sharing your vessel and WindPath staff
• View and print out a complete log of all your boating experiences with WindPath (this is a great feature if you want to charter a bareboat from another company)
